Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

We just got back from seeing "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." I have never read the book by Douglas Adams but I have seen the old mini series that PBS ran in the 1980's. I thought the new movie was well done but not as funny as I think it could have been. One thing to notice is how much Zaphod Beeblebrox resembles a certain President we all know. You really do not have to pay close attention to see the resemblance. It's quite obvious. I recommend this movie to all Hitchhiker fans.

Enjoy!!!

Cat Hunting part 2

So...it is still a proposal to hunt feral cats in Wisconsin. It is not legal to kill feral cats in Wisconsin. But the same day after the proposal was approved (by who I cannot find in the news), four cats were found dead in Sheboygan. They were discovered near a cemetery last week and it is believed that they were most likely killed by a 22 caliber gun. Sadly these cats had owers...not feral cats that the proposal says should be okay to kill. What's the world coming to? Sheesh.

Here are some stories from around the United States and the world on the proposal in Wisconsin.

Sting

So...last night my best friend and I saw Sting in concert on his Broken Music Tour. It was fantastic. He sang a lot of his old songs and some new ones too. I was anxious to hear Roxanne. He played that one last. We had so much fun. I recommend this concert to anyone who loves Sting. Go see him!!! The band who opened for Sting was called Phantom Planet. I've never heard of them but they were not that bad. Check them out.

Another Only In Wisconsin

As I live here in Wisconsin longer and longer, I start to think that the people up here are almost as weird (and crazy) as the rednecks back home in Florida. My final proof was shot down by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) yesterday after much debate over the last few months. I do not know if ya'll have heard about this in the news around the US but I know my mother did and she just thought it was too funny. Some hunter up here in Wisconsin proposed to the DNR that they make an open hunting season for...drum roll please...feral cats (they are not native to Wisconsin and they are killing the beautiful song birds...that wake me up at 5 in the morning with their "music"). Here is the story...you can read it for yourself. Apparently other states up here in the midwest have alread opened Cat Hunting Season. Sheesh. The Capital Times also has an updated story. Read it here.

Have a great day!

Weird News Story of the Weekend

Okay...so when Matthew told me yesterday that leeches could crawl crawl up your nose and attach themselves to the inside of you and spawn many more leeches...I was a little skeptickle. That was until I ran upon this news story out of Hong Kong on Yahoo News. I found this story quite creepy. Let me know what you think.

Cheers!!!

Sin City

Just got back from the theatre from watching Frank Miller's Sin City. The costumes were fantastic and the filming was wonderful. I recommend seeing this movie. Let me know what you think.
